What's it all about?

The last section of the Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Trail was completed in April 2013. This makes it the longest mountainbike trial in the world, over 1000km in length running from Albany in South Western Australia to Perth. Thanks to the Munda Biddi Trial Foundation, the first full length Epic was organised to coincide with the official opening and this is the blog that followed it. 26 people set off on April 7 from Albany for the mammoth 3 week ride. Day 2

Well where to start? Off to a slow start over breakfast of muesli yogurt bacon and eggs. Doing it tuff out here in the bush . Away by 10 for a unrideable walk through sand for roughy a km then some beautiful country fire trial zig zagging through cattle country. Pretty cruisey to start but then it started to get quite hot. Unfortunately we lost both ride leaders to the local hospital, one severely cramped up, maybe not enough hydration! And Ron just to get his finger checked out. Rons fine and the nursing staff praised him on his first aid. Nathan we are still waiting to hear about apparently someone decided to have a baby and they had priority so we are sure he is okay. No Nathan didnt have a baby somone else. (stop press) Nathan has just turned up for dinner all good.

We arrived in Denmark around 4 pm, longest 40 km i have ever done. The gps shows 63 km and no we didnt get lost so not sure where the 40 km came from. Anyway pitched the tent a quick shower an then the power of denmark peaked as everyone plugged there gps , phone , ipads, etc . Some people have 3 gps's! Mine died just out of Denmark so couldnt show the total track but most of it should be up now. See the strava links.

As you have probably worked out have had trouble getting good phone reception so dont worry if you dont hear from us for a couple of days. I' ll catch up when we get to towns.
currently having a feast in town at denmark awesome feed up with local produce and wines. Thanks again must run as the bus is leaving bye for now
