What's it all about?

The last section of the Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Trail was completed in April 2013. This makes it the longest mountainbike trial in the world, over 1000km in length running from Albany in South Western Australia to Perth. Thanks to the Munda Biddi Trial Foundation, the first full length Epic was organised to coincide with the official opening and this is the blog that followed it. 26 people set off on April 7 from Albany for the mammoth 3 week ride. Day6 walpole to hut

Woke to pouring rain about 4 am with that urge that can only be satisfied by an ensuite. Why doesnt my tent have an ensuite? Two chioces lay as snug as a bug and hold on or get up and get wet. So i led there for 2 hours until daylight hoping the rain would subside but it only got worse. We had to drop the tents in the wet which means tonight will be interesting if its still raining.

Hard day of riding a bit of single track but mainly uphill and it rained all w ay. Lots of sandy trial which made it hard going. Not many highlights. Tough day overall.

Tj lead the pack on the climbs, the dark horse finally showing his cards w ith a break away finally pressing on for the last few km to the hut. Great site for the hut with spectacular granite rock located adjacent to the campsite. The hut is smaller than the first two but we managed fit in somehow. It sleeps possibly 24 in a squeeze. Out of the spping wet clotes, but no showes out here.

WE had Spag bol for dinner which i inhaled it as my body was screaming for carbs after another 60 odd k day. Went back for seconds which was nearly as big as the first and was able to eat slower and enjoy it. A few beers and wines (gosh s tough here in the bush) and then heads down for another night. A few adventurers set up their tents which in hindsight was probably a good idea as i could swear there were seven chainsaws ripping thriugh the forrest that night. The corrogated iron was actually resonating with the shear power of one seasoned snorer.
